Pharmacovigilance

Pharmacovigilance is a science and a set of measures to identify, evaluate, understand and prevent adverse negative consequences or any other problems associated with taking medications.

The procedure for ensuring pharmacovigilance in Ukraine is regulated by order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated December 27, 2006 No. 898 “On Approving the Procedure for Pharmacovigilance” (as amended by the order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated September 26, 2016 No. 996). In accordance with the requirements of the legislation, pharmacovigilance in Ukraine is carried out by the State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The pharmacovigilance system of VISUS PHARM provides for the collection of information from patients, pharmacy and medical workers in the context of the clinical use of medicines.
