Ektal Preservative-free eye drops with ectoin 2% and sodium hyaluronate 0.15% contain natural and clinically proven ingredients, the effectiveness of which has been scientifically proven.
Eye drops contain sodium hyaluronate - the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, which, thanks to its specific properties, forms a uniform, stable and especially long-lasting protective film on the cornea of the eye without deteriorating visual function, as well as ectoine - a natural molecule that protects cells and has anti-irritant and membrane-stabilizing properties. binds moisture and stabilizes the lipid layer of the tear film. Isotonic eye drops moisturize itchy and reddened eyes, thus forming an effective protective complex against harmful factors such as allergens. The combination of sodium hyaluronate (stabilization of the tear film) and ectoin (moisturization, soothing) protects against allergens from the environment, moisturizes and lubricates the surface of the eye. Thus, it provides long-term relief and support of the regeneration process of irritated and sensitive conjunctiva in case of complaints related to:
- allergens (pollen, dust or animal hair); reduces itchy eyes caused by them;
- mechanical stress, in particular due to wearing hard or soft contact lenses or during diagnostic procedures, in front of the eyes;
- stress caused by the environment, for example, due to air conditioning, wind, cold, dryness or air pollution, for example, from cigarette smoke;
- eye strain as a result of working at a computer, with a microscope or during
- long car trips.
Due to the absence of preservatives, Ektal eye drops are particularly well tolerated even with long-term use.
Application method
To open the bottle, remove the protective ring by pulling on the special flap until it is completely removed (1). Then remove the cover by pulling it upwards (2). Tilt your head slightly back, look up and gently pull back the lower eyelid. Hold the bottle with the opening down and instill one drop into the lower conjunctival sac of the eye 3-5 times a day with firm pressure (3 + 4). Close your eyes slowly to ensure an even distribution of the liquid on the surface of the eye. Avoid contact of the dropper with the eye or hands. The remaining drop on the hole should be removed by lightly tapping the bottom of the bottle. Immediately close the bottle by slightly pressing the cap against the opening (5). If the discomfort increases or does not disappear, consult an ophthalmologist!
The dropper's special sterile filtration system also requires a waiting period of several seconds without pressing on the vial after each instillation to allow air to flow back into the vial. Without this waiting period, the next instillation is not possible. For the same reason, it is also necessary to gradually increase the compression of the bottle when reducing its content.
Storage
1 ml (ml) contains: ectoine 2%, sodium hyaluronate 0.15%, sodium chloride, sodium citrate, citric acid, water for injections.
Reservation
Do not use the product if the protective ring of the cap is broken or the bottle is damaged.
Do not touch the eye with the dropper.
Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
In very rare cases, the use of eye drops can cause irritation to sensitive eyes.
If you wear contact lenses, you should remove them before use and put them back on no earlier than 15 minutes (min) after using Ektal.
If you use other eye drops / eye ointment, wait about 15 minutes (min). Ektal should always be used last.
Do not use if the eyes are infected or injured.
After instillation, temporary blurring of vision can sometimes occur. During this period, avoid driving a car, working with mechanisms and wait until normal vision is restored.
Do not use the eye drops after the expiry date which is stated on each bottle and on the box.
Thanks to the special innovative system of sterile filtration of the dropper, a small amount of solution always remains in the bottle.
After first opening, use no longer than 12 months.
Keep out of the reach of children.
Storage conditions
Store at temperatures from 2 °C to 25 °C. Do not freeze. After use, close the bottle with a lid. Store the bottle in the box to avoid exposure to light.
