"Clarastil SINE" eye drops are a sterile aqueous solution of 0.3% carboxymethyl cellulose that interacts with eye tissues and has a protective, eutrophic, moisturizing and lubricating effect. Due to the antioxidant properties of the components and the ability to counteract free radicals, this medical product protects the tissues of the eye (lens, cornea, conjunctiva) from the effects of oxidative stress, which occurs due to the adverse effects of environmental factors (injury with contact lenses, solar radiation, smoke, dust, air conditioning air, computer radiation) and is the trigger for the development of a number of eye diseases, including cataracts. The saline solution of the medical product contacts the surface of the eye for only a few seconds, producing a transient effect. Due to the presence of glycerin, water diffuses into the eye tissues (moisturizing effect) with the subsequent formation of a thin water film on the surface of the cornea with the involvement of carboxymethyl cellulose, which is embedded in the cellulosic polymer network. In this way, a hydrogel film with viscoelastic properties is formed.

 

In the medical product, the concentration of carboxymethylcellulose (0.3%) is carefully selected to obtain hydrogel rheological characteristics identical to tear fluid and good adhesiveness on the outer membrane of the eye, which provides it with protective, eutrophic, moisturizing and softening properties without the effect of blurring vision.

 

N-acetylcarnosine, present as a component of the drops, does not have any specific pharmacological effect, but due to its antioxidant properties and ability to counteract free radicals, it is an oxidase in itself and protects eye tissues (lens, cornea, conjunctiva) from damage by cellular lipid peroxidases. which is observed in cataract.

 

CLARASTIL BLUE has the following physicochemical properties: it is completely transparent, mixes with water and tear fluid in any proportions, does not form insoluble precipitates with metal salts and organic substances present in the tear fluid, has a pH and osmolality that is well combined with the tissues of the eye and tear fluid, thanks to which the drops have a good tolerance.

 

Composition: Carboxymethylcellulose 0.3%, glycerin, N-acetylcarnosine, sodium chloride, disodium edetate, sodium tetraborate, potassium bicarbonate, purified water.

 

METHOD OF APPLICATION.

 

Instill 1-2 drops of Clarastil SINE into the lower conjunctival arch of the eye, pressing lightly on the bottle. Drops can be applied several times a day, if necessary.

 

Special warnings.

 

– This product does not contain quaternary ammonium salts (benzalkonium, cetrimide), so it can be used by hard and soft contact lens wearers.

 

- Do not touch the eye with the tip of the bottle.

 

– Do not use in case of eye infection.

 

– Do not use simultaneously with other ophthalmic pharmaceutical products.

 

– Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to any component of the drops.

 

- Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.

 

– Do not use after 8 weeks from the time of first opening.

 

CONDITIONS OF STORAGE. Store at a temperature no higher than +25°C. After opening the bottle for the first time, store it in a refrigerator at a temperature of +2 to +8°C.
