INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
LUBRICATING OPHTHALMIC GEL WITH 5% DEXPANTHENOL
LONG-LASTING RELIEF FROM DRY EYES AND PROTECTION OF THE OCULAR SURFACE
Tube 10 g
Ingredients: dexpanthenol 5% (w/v), sodium hydroxide solution 20%, carbomer, disodium edetate, cetrimide, water for injections.
What is it?
EyeGel Plus is a sterile ophthalmic gel containing 5% dexpanthenol.
What is the dosage form?
EyeGel Plus is presented as an ophthalmic gel in a 10 g tube.
When should it be used?
EyeGel Plus helps protect the ocular surface in patients with tear film alterations.
The presence of dexpanthenol helps maintain hydration and protection of the ocular surface, providing long-lasting relief from the effects of dry eyes caused by irritation, burning, and foreign body sensation due to environmental factors (wind, sun, dry air, salt water, smoke, bright light, air conditioning, heating), prolonged computer use, eye surgery, conjunctivitis, or the use of contact lenses.
The presence of carbomer as a thickening agent helps to mimic the normal viscosity of tears.
How and how much should be used?
Remove the cap from the tube, tilt your head back and pull down the lower eyelid to form a pocket. Gently squeeze until a small drop forms at the tip of the tube and distribute it evenly inside the eyelid.
Blink two or three times to evenly distribute the gel over the eye, and remove any excess gel around the eyelids. Be sure to close the cap.
Instill one drop into the eye one or more times a day, unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor or pharmacist.
